‘Voices Unheard’: A Study of Irish Travellers in Prison. June 2011, Irish Chaplaincy in Britain.
Irish Chaplaincy, a charity supporting Irish people in Britain, published a report on the challenges faced by Irish Gypsies and Travellers in prison. The report highlights issues like family separation, cultural restrictions and illiteracy, and recommends improvements for the criminal justice system. Gypsy, Roma and Traveller Friendly Churches endorse the report and urge for an audit to see if the recommendations have been implemented.
